Weekend of DIY solar power

This weekend will have two events, both are no experience necessary.:
Build a solar power system (£60 with kit of parts / £10 without)
Saturday 4th August 11am - 4pm
Build and take home you own personal solar power system including: a 10Wp solar panel, charge regulator, voltmeter and enclosure.
This will also include more general information.
We will cover:
- Solar power technology
- Load assessment
- Resource assessment
- System design
- Batteries and controllers
Sunday 5th August 11am - 4pm
Build a solar PV panel (£40 with materials / £10 without)
Learn to build your own solar PV panel.
This will be a practical workshop with all materials provided.
You will learn to cut solar PV cells, soldering, wiring and encasing for a long lifetime. You will build a 12V solar panel with an output of around 5Wp.
Note: The solar panel will be encased in silicon, which might take some time to dry so you may not be able to take home your panel on the day, but pick if up at another time when dry.
